The short version

Problem

Experiencing a layoff is a deeply personal and disruptive life event that impacts financial and emotional well-being, identity, and daily structure. The days following a layoff are often filled with uncertainty, anxiety, and a flood of logistical and emotional tasks. While many resources exist, they are scattered across platforms, and lack the ability to adapt based on personal circumstances.

Solution

Tomorrow is a digital companion that guides laid-off workers through the emotional and practical challenges of job loss with personalized structure, support, and community:

  1. Offloads the mental burden of figuring out what to do next through a digital checklist

  2. Eases the pressure of networking while laid off with customizable templates

  3. Fills the void of lost work community and routine with connections to others who understand exactly what they’re going through.

Impact

Tomorrow was born from personal experience, creating something I wish I had during my layoff in 2023. Our solution resonated deeply with our investors. During the final class pitch presentations, we had two investors express interest in our idea and one wants to help us develop Tomorrow into a startup to serve the ~20M workers who experience layoffs every year.
